It does provide a lot of information for beginners. I’m on chapter 6 of 15 and I’ve already learned so much! I’m learning photoshop so I will be able to edit my artwork before printing it. This book breaks everything down into single steps, which are very easy to follow and understand. Though I have a great visual memory, I have other memory issues and so it takes me longer than average to learn new steps on the computer.

If I can do this, anyone can. Once you purchase the book, you register it at the PeaachPit website, then download image files- one folder for each chapter. They show you an “end” photo for each project, so you know what you are making. They also provide the start image s you will be manipulating in a given chapter.

Once you register your book, you can access a copy online as well. It’s the same text, but with videos added, showing how to do each step. I usually read each chapter in the paper copy first, then access the online book so I have it on the screen next to my photoshop window. I will likely go through the book again after I’m all finished just to solidify everything.

I have valued everything I have learned thus far. I love this book. First of all, I have no experience with Photoshop. This book gets down to the basics without a lot of theory. Each exercise is challenging and very interesting.

You could pay a learning center thousands of dollars to learn Photoshop and not learn as much as you will from this book.
